My name is Debra Southern

I have spent several years volunteering in my childrens' school. I worked on a literacy program for struggling readers, created a lunchtime sewing program for grade 4s and supported Scientists in the Classroom.

My previous experience includes several years working in public libraries in the UK, where I worked closely with local schools promoting libraries and reading to students.

More recently I worked for Honeywell Aerospace as a Configuration Management Specialist, before taking time off to support my family.

My volunteer work showed me how fulfilling it is to work with children, helping them grow and learn and so now my new career journey is beginning with the Sheridan College ES Diploma program.
